"Born in England on 27th April 1941, his early years were spent in Bermuda, later attending school in England. He has lived in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Australia, New Jersey, Chicago and currently lives in New York. He was educated at Worth Priory in Sussex, Fort Augustus Abbey in Inverness-shire and Millfield School in Somerset. After he graduated from the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School in the 60s, his motor racing career began. He retired from motor racing at the age of 30 (a difficult decision to make at the time).
