The FIA European Touring Car Cup will benefit from substantial live television coverage in 2017 with Eurosport scheduled to broadcast 10 of the 12 races as they happen.

In addition, with the exception of ETCC Race of Nürburgring Nordschleife, all races will be streamed live on the official FIAETCC.com website*, while action from the legendary German track will be produced as a highlights programme for transmission the following week.

Eurosport 2 is set to show live Races 1 and 2 from Monza (30 April), Hungaroring (14 May), Vila Real (25 June), Zolder (17 September) and Most (8 October) and will also transmit a round-up of all the drama and excitement from the ETCC’s return visit to the Nürburgring in late May.

In addition to Eurosport’s coverage of the ETCC, discussions are ongoing with networks in Europe and beyond regarding bringing the official World Touring Car Championship feeder category to their viewers’ television screens.

The ETCC’s Eric Néve said: “Once again we are delighted to have put in place an excellent live broadcast package for our teams, drivers, partners and fans, which is pretty much unrivalled in international touring car racing at sub-WTCC level. Along with other benefits, such as our budget-focused six-event schedule, this extensive live TV commitment is just another example of why an ETCC campaign in 2017 is such an attractive proposition.”

*Live streaming of ETCC races will be geo blocked in some countries depending on agreements with broadcasters.
