Os últimos preparativos para a Qualificação

Ontem a pista esteve sempre molhada. O McLaren 650S está muito bom no molhado e temos que o melhorar no húmido. Fomos P20 e P2 nos treinos de ontem.
A qualificação será disputada em seco e vamos directos para a sessão sem treinos. Vamos ver como corre. Eu e o Rob vamos dar o máximo.

The last details for the qualifying

Yesterday the track was always wet. The McLaren 650S is very good in the wet and we have to improve it in the damp. We were P20 and P2 in yesterday’s practices.
The qualifying will be held with dry track and we are going straight to it without any practice. Let’s see how it goes. I and Rob will give our best.

Qualify its over. We did a mistake in Q3 by waiting for the last minuts and started to rain... I couldnt a single lap so I now i start from P18. tongue emoticon

Foi pena falhar a pole por tão pouco, mas temos que estar satisfeitos com o segundo lugar, dado que não estivemos aqui na temporada passada e não tínhamos dados para comparar. O facto de ontem ter chovido também significou que na qualificação estávamos a rodar no seco pela primeira vez. Portanto, um muito obrigado e parabéns à equipa.

It’s a shame we missed out on pole by such a small margin but I’ve got to be happy with second because we weren’t here last season and had no past data to rely on. The fact it rained yesterday also meant qualifying was the first time we’ve run in the dry. So a big thanks and congratulations to the team.

It was a tough race. In a damp circuit we have some difficulties and my stint was a continuous struggle to keep the car on the track. Afterwards, with slicks, Rob recover to 10th.
Let’s see what we can do tomorrow. A good result is still possible. We will fight.

Fizemos uma boa recuperação desde o nono lugar da grelha de partida num plantel muito forte e conseguimos o quarto lugar. Depois das dificuldades de ontem foi um bom resultado. Temos que melhorar em alguns aspectos, mas penso que foi um bom início de temporada.

We did a good recovering from ninth in the grid in a very strong field and we achieved a good fourth place. After yesterday’s difficulties it was a good result. We have some stuff to improve, but I believe it was a good start of the season.

Foi um fim-de-semana difícil, para mim, fica a recuperação e a diversão que tive ao vir de 18 para 5 com pneus de chuva na corrida 1. Hoje não dava para muito.

Thanks guys for the support. I am happy to see that most of you are even more optimistic then me... to come from P33 to P1 would not be easy but if I would be in that position I wouldn't brake smile emoticon ahah!
It was a hard weekend but for me remains the race 1 when i came from P18 to P5 on wets.
Bring on the next race, next weekend, the WEC at Silverstone.
